The Chinese ocarina can be trace back to 7 thousand years ago in 2700BC in China.

The earliest Chinese Ocarina was found near a ancient river site in ZheJiang Province, China.
It has only one hole and can only play a single tone.
2 other 6 thousand years old  Ocarina was found in XiAn, China and has 2 hole, enabling it to play 2 tone.

The Chinese ocarina have since evolves to up to 9 hole playing beautiful 9 tone with varying pitch.
